San Gimignano, a small walled medieval hill town near Siena, is renowned as the “Town of Fine Towers.” In the Middle Ages, it boasted over 70 towers, and today it stands as an open-air museum, offering a glimpse into medieval life. The town is also celebrated for its saffron, the Golden Ham, and the white wine Vernaccia di San Gimignano, produced from the ancient Vernaccia grape.
